Neurodance 09 at Club Neutral was fantastic. Last weekend, the three artists Antigen Shift, Adversary and Iszoloscope totally rocked the house and the DJs put on amazing sets throughout the night. Thanks all for a fantastic night.
Here’s a sampling of my favorite pictures.
Photographer’s notes:
Again another torturous night of photography. Club Neutral is not the most friendly place for great pictures. The black walls and ceiling reflect very little so bouncing the flash hasn’t been very successful for me. I have found (at Neurodance 08) that bouncing off the dance floor actually works quite well. Need to watch that other dancers don’t step in between your flash and the subject. Most of the shots were taken with the flash bounced off the ceiling, and some shots were taken in ambient light only.
Most shots were taken at very wide apertures of f/1.4 to f/2.0, at 1/100 shutter speeds, and ISO 1600.
Equipment used was a Canon 40D, 30mm f1.4, 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8 and a Sigma EF-500 DG super flash.
