A few weeks ago I had the privilege to witness two great friends seal their vows. The wedding was on a lovely winery in Niagara on the Lake and the food and drinks were fantastic. The pounding rain only added to the atmosphere. What a fabulous evening!
Here’s a sampling of my favorite shots from this wedding.
Photographer’s Notes:
I should have brought my flash with me… That’s the last time I will leave it behind. Lighting was tough, but not overly. What I really needed from the flash was the AF assist light, as many of the shots were just a little soft, or rather softer then I like. Bouncing the flash off the ceiling of the tent would have worked also as the ceilings were high and white.
The shots are taken with a Canon 40D body and an assortment of prime lenses at ISO 1600 or 3200. Most of the shots were taken with a 85mm f1.8 lens, and a few with a 50mm f1.4. Both lenses were used wide or nearly wide open, since light was pretty low. Shutter speed was between 1/50 to 1/100 for most shots.
