On 06 April, 2011 the Legends of Synthpop tour came through Toronto. Mesh, Iris, De/Vision and Assemblage 23 put on an amazing show.

Here’s a sampling of just my favorite pictures.

The venue is not the largest, and the lighting was pretty good for the most part. Pretty good for a concert that is.

No flash was used, and the AF assist light (YONGNUO ST-E2) worked well.

There was a surprising  amount of light, and I never shot above ISO1600. Most of the shots were taken at ISO800. Shutter speed was about 1/120 or 1/100 at f2.0 for the majority of the night. In retrospect I wonder if I should have shot at ISO 1600 and either increased the shutter speed or the f/stop (to get a larger DOF).

Equipment used was a Canon 40D,  Canon 50mm f1.4, 85mm f1.8.
